This German Helles Exportbier is a vibrant fusion of Bavarian tradition and mountain-inspired hop intensity. The foundation of Pilsner and Munich malts provides a robust, grainy-sweet base with a hint of toasted bread from the Karamellmalz. This malt profile supports the aggressive double dry hopping of Citra and Mosaic, which project high-intensity aromas of tropical mango, guava, and ripe blueberries. While maintaining the style's signature clarity and medium-full body, the modern hop profile provides a lush fruitiness that transitions into a clean, medium-dry finish with a firm, balanced bitterness. It is a harmonious marriage of old-world structure and new-world aromatics.
Appearance. Deep gold color (approximately 5-6 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a dense, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity. Pronounced tropical fruit notes of mango and citrus from Citra, paired with the berry and stone fruit character of Mosaic. Supporting these are moderate grainy-sweet and bready malt notes. Fermentation is clean with no esters or phenols.
Taste. The initial impression is a balance of bready malt and punchy hops. Malt flavors of bread crust and dough are prominent. Hop flavors mirror the aroma with citrus zest, blueberry, and tropical fruit. Bitterness is medium and noticeable, providing a firm structure. The finish is medium-dry and rounded by a subtle mineral character, with a lingering fruit and malt aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, mellow texture. Carbonation is moderate. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth. No astringency.
