New Chapter is a vibrant West Coast IPA that celebrates a bold collaboration between three craft breweries. This ale delivers a focused sensory experience centered on the high-intensity synergy of Mosaic and Citra hops. The aromatic profile is defined by bright layers of tropical fruit, mango, and zesty grapefruit, supported by a clean, lean malt foundation. While the initial impression offers a hint of fruity sweetness, the palate quickly transitions to a pronounced and pleasant bitterness characteristic of the style. The finish is crisp and dry, leaving a lingering hop resonance that marks a promising new era of quality brewing.
Appearance. Medium gold with brilliant clarity; features a medium-sized, off-white head with excellent persistence and fine lacing.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma showcasing prominent notes of citrus, tropical fruit, and berry from Mosaic and Citra. Background notes of pine and floral blossoms are supported by a low, clean, grainy malt sweetness. Fermentation is very clean with no significant esters.
Taste. A hop-forward initial impression leads with flavors of grapefruit, passion fruit, and orange. The malt is low and neutral, providing a clean, grainy backbone that avoids heavy caramel. Bitterness is firm and assertive but remains pleasant. The finish is medium-dry to dry with a lingering, clean, hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-bodied with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively mouthfeel. Features a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth without any harshness or astringency.
