Superposed is an intensely aromatic Hazy IPA that showcases a global hop revolution through the use of Nelson Sauvin SubZero Hop Kief® alongside Galaxy and Motueka hops. This collaboration pours with a signature opaque shine, leading into a complex sensory profile of tropical juiciness. Expect a punchy bouquet dominated by passion fruit and guava, layered with delicate notes of white grapes and gooseberries. On the palate, luscious peach flavors meld with a soft, bready malt base. The mouthfeel is notably creamy and smooth, finishing with a mild, integrated bitterness that balances the vibrant, fruit-forward character of this New Zealand-inspired ale.
Appearance. Color is a pale straw to light orange (4-6 SRM). Opaque, hazy clarity with a luminous shine; no visible yeast clumps. Features a large, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High-intensity aroma of tropical and stone fruits. Prominent passion fruit and guava from Galaxy, accented by the distinctive white grape and gooseberry notes of Nelson Sauvin. Background malt is clean and bready with a light grainy sweetness and no caramel character.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor follows the aroma with layers of peach, guava, and tropical citrus. Low to medium-high perceived bitterness that is soft and never harsh. Malt flavor is low, presenting as light bready dough. Finishes off-dry and smooth with a lingering, juicy fruit aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notably smooth and creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. Alcohol warmth is light and well-integrated. Absence of any harshness, astringency, or hop burn.
