Hope Beer Northside
Northside is a vibrant Double IPA crafted in the East Coast tradition, delivering a sensory experience defined by its juicy intensity and soft textures. Pouring with a characteristic haze and a dense, persistent white head, the beer radiates an aroma of ripe mango, passionfruit, and bright citrus zest. At 8% ABV, the alcohol warmth is smooth and well-integrated, providing a backbone for the medium-full, creamy mouthfeel. The flavor profile is dominated by layers of tropical and stone fruits with a moderate, restrained bitterness that allows the lush hop character to linger. It is a bold, velvety expression of modern hopping techniques.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange color; opaque with a prominent haze characteristic of the New England style. Large, creamy, white head with excellent persistence and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent tropical fruit (pineapple, mango), citrus (tangerine), and stone fruit. Low, neutral, grainy malt support in the background. Light fruity fermentation esters are present; no solventy alcohol notes.
Taste. Strong, juicy hop flavors of tropical fruit and citrus dominate the palate. Medium-low bitterness that is soft and rounded, lacking any harshness. Clean, supportive, soft malt character. The finish is medium-dry and smooth, with a long, fruity, and slightly resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a distinctly smooth, creamy texture. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth with no hop-derived astringency.
