This Double IPA showcases modern hopping techniques, emphasizing aromatic oils over biting bitterness. Appearance. Gold to light orange-copper (6-10 SRM). Excellent clarity, though a very faint haze from dry-hopping is acceptable. Moderate, persistent white head with fine-beaded lacing.
Aroma. High to intense hop aroma. Prominent notes of tangerine, mango, and pine resin. Clean, neutral to slightly grainy maltiness in the background. Clean fermentation profile with a subtle, well-integrated alcohol presence.
Taste. Strong hop flavors of grapefruit and passion fruit with a resinous pine backbone. Bitterness is firm but notably smooth, avoiding the harshness often found in the style. Low, unobtrusive malt character. Dries out significantly in the finish with a lingering, hop-forward aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, soft texture. Moderate carbonation. No hop-derived astringency. Restrained, smooth alcohol warmth that reflects its strength without being hot.
