Cloud #33 is a lush Hazy IPA that showcases the vibrant profile of New Zealand Waimea hops against a velvety foundation. It pours with an inviting, opaque glow and a dense, meringue-like head. The sensory experience is lead by high-intensity aromas of fresh tangelo, citrus zest, and a subtle hint of pine resin. On the palate, the addition of lactose provides a creamy, smooth texture that amplifies the juicy hop flavors of tropical fruit and ripe citrus. Despite the low bitterness, the beer remains balanced, offering a soft mouthfeel and a clean, lingering finish that highlights the distinctive character of the Waimea hops.

Appearance. Color is pale gold (4.5 SRM). The beer is opaque with a significant, permanent haze. It features a thick, rocky, white head with excellent retention and significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent tangelo, grapefruit, and fresh pine needles from the Waimea hops. A light, bready malt presence sits in the background, complemented by fruity fermentation esters and a subtle, creamy sweetness from lactose.

Taste. Initial impression is juicy and fruit-forward with high citrus and tropical fruit flavors. The malt flavor is low and bready, providing a neutral canvas for the hops. Bitterness is low (23 IBU), carefully balanced by the residual sweetness of lactose. The finish is smooth and off-dry, with a lingering aftertaste of citrus zest and soft resin.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notably creamy and smooth texture. Carbonation is moderate. There is a light, well-integrated alcohol warmth consistent with the 7% ABV. No harshness or astringency is present.
