Shutter Speed is an intense Double IPA that captures a vivid, high-definition hop profile. Leveraging a soft, pale base of Heidelberg malt, wheat, and oats, it provides a silky canvas for a sophisticated hop blend. Idaho7 and Galaxy deliver a saturated tropical core of pineapple and passionfruit, while Nelson Sauvin CGX adds a sophisticated white wine elegance. Strata rounds out the experience with a complex strawberry and dank resinous edge. At 10% ABV, it carries a smooth, integrated warmth. Fermented with London Ale III, the beer exhibits a stone fruit ester profile that harmonizes with a firm bitterness and a clean, dry-leaning finish.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (7-9 SRM) with a slight haze from the high wheat and oat content. Pours with a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head that exhibits excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical fruit and vinous notes. Distinctive crushed gooseberry and white grape are complemented by passionfruit. Underlying layers of pine and black tea emerge, while a hint of dankness and dried berries provides complexity. Malt is low and neutral.

Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors of pineapple, citrus zest, and tropical melon. The bitterness is moderately high and firm but not harsh, providing a necessary counterpoint to the high alcohol. A lean malt backbone ensures the hops remain the focus. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering resinous aftertaste and a clean alcohol presence.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a creamy, soft texture derived from malted oats. Carbonation is moderate-high. A noticeable, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, providing a smooth and warming sensation without being solventy.
