Hop Hooligans presents an evocative Wild Specialty Beer that centers on the delicate, floral essence of ripe pears integrated into a vibrant, wild-fermented base. This Pearfect Pearing offers a polychromatic sensory journey where the orchard-fresh fruit sweetness is transformed into bright, tangy esters. Expect a lively interplay between a sharp, lactic acidity and the subtle, earthy funk characteristic of an American Wild Ale. Despite the soft serve imagery, this vegan and lactose-free creation maintains a crisp, dry profile, finishing with a lingering, fruit-driven tartness that remains refreshing, complex, and highly aromatic.
Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (3–5 SRM). Generally hazy to opaque with visible sediment typical of fruit additions. Moderate white head with fair retention; acidity may cause the foam to dissipate relatively quickly with minimal lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics of fresh pear skins and poached pear. Distinctive wild character including lemon-like lactic tartness, light hay, and a touch of funky Brettanomyces. Estery and bright, with the specialty fruit being the primary focus over any malt or hop character.

For this heavily fruited 6% ice cream offering we went with TONS of pear purée, then topped it up with fancy pear and ginger ice cream powder. Sweet and sticky, but not too jammy, with a nice prickly edge from the ginger, but none of the heat. Match made in (some kind of) Heaven. Store cold (please?) and drink fresh, preferably with a big straw. Yummy stuff by @dianabarbu.illustration P.S.: No lactose, all vegan ice cream.
