Hop Hooligans Nurture
This Hazy IPA pours with a luminous, opaque glow, inviting the senses into a lush tropical landscape. The complex hop blend of Nectaron and Nelson Sauvin leads the charge, delivering saturated notes of passion fruit and zesty white grape. Beneath this, HBC630 introduces subtle hints of raspberry and stone fruit, while Talus adds a distinctive touch of pink grapefruit and floral rose. The addition of wheat malt and oat flakes creates a silky, cushioned structure that carries these vibrant hop oils effortlessly. Fermented with LalBrew Pomona yeast, the finish is soft and slightly juicy, emphasizing fruit depth over sharp bitterness.
Appearance. Straw to light gold with a dense, opaque haze that gives the beer a vibrant shine. Topped with a persistent, meringue-like white head that leaves significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity with a saturated bouquet of passion fruit, peach, and gooseberry. Distinctive layers of raspberry and pink grapefruit emerge, supported by a clean, bready malt backdrop and stone fruit esters from the fermentation profile.
Taste. An explosion of tropical and stone fruit flavors, mirroring the aroma with prominent passion fruit, white grape, and cherry-like nuances. The malt provides a soft, grainy base. Bitterness is low to moderate and exceptionally smooth, leading to a plush, off-dry finish with lingering tropical fruit notes.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a remarkably smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is moderate. No astringency or hop burn is present, providing a rounded, approachable drinkability with very light alcohol warmth.
