Moon Scars presents as a quintessential Witbier, reimagined with a luminous, 'shining orb' clarity within its hazy, pale straw body. The foundation of Heidelberg malt and Flaked wheat provides a soft, bready backbone with a characteristic milky appearance. Aromatic layers of zesty Lemon and traditional Coriander seeds are sharpened by the inclusion of Pink peppercorn, which adds a delicate, floral-spice complexity. Fermented with a blend of WLP400 and Wyeast 3463, the profile is lifted by subtle honeyed esters and a crisp, effervescent finish. This refreshing ale balances its low bitterness with a creamy mouthfeel, delivering an immaculate, modern take on the style.

Appearance. Very pale straw (SRM 3) with a significant starch haze giving it a milky, whitish-yellow glow. It is topped by a dense, persistent, moussy white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. Moderate intensity with a bready, grainy malt character from the Heidelberg malt. Zesty lemon and citrus peel aromatics are prominent, accompanied by perfumy coriander and a distinct floral, woody-peppery note from the pink peppercorn. Low honey-like esters and light vanilla notes from the yeast are present in the background.

Taste. The palate leads with bready and grainy wheat flavors followed by a moderate zesty lemon and citrus fruitiness. Herbal-spicy notes of coriander and a subtle, sophisticated peppery bite from the pink peppercorn provide depth. Bitterness is low, supporting a refreshingly crisp and dry finish without any harsh aftertaste.
