Korma Chameleon is an opulent Imperial Stout that transforms the sensory experience with a complex array of Indian-inspired adjuncts. A robust malt foundation of Golden Promise, Red Rye Crystal, and Roasted Barley provides a dense core of bittersweet chocolate and espresso. This is elevated by a fragrant bouquet of cardamom, mace, and ginger, while rose and kewra waters lend an exotic floral delicacy. The additions of cashew, peanut, and coconut, supported by the silky texture of oat flakes, create a luxurious, nutty profile. The result is a harmonious, dessert-like beer that balances intense roasted notes with a warming, spiced, and floral finish.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (40+ SRM). Pours with a thick, dense, deep tan head that shows moderate retention, leaving oily legs on the glass due to high alcohol and adjunct viscosity.

Aroma. High intensity and extraordinarily complex. Initial notes of dark chocolate and toasted nuts are followed by a pungent, spicy blend of cardamom, mace, and earthy ginger. Distinct floral notes of rose water and sandalwood-like kewra water emerge, backed by subtle toasted coconut and a hint of dark dried fruit from the DRC and Crystal Extra Dark malts.

Taste. An intense, multi-layered explosion of flavors. Rich roasted grain, burnt sugar, and dark cocoa provide the backbone. The mid-palate is dominated by savory nuttiness from cashews and peanuts, seamlessly integrated with warming spices. Floral rose and herbal kewra water add a unique top note that cuts through the heavy sweetness. Moderate bitterness is present but largely masked by the high residual sugar and velvety specialty malts. The finish is long and complex, lingering with notes of toasted coconut and warm alcohol.

Mouthfeel. Very full-bodied, thick, and chewy with a velvety, luscious texture enhanced by oat malt and peanut oils. Carbonation is low to moderate. A significant, smooth alcohol warmth is present, reflecting the 11% ABV without being sharp.

Az Imperial Stout alkoholosabb, szárazabb, csokisabb a sima stouthoz képest, rendkívül gazdag, édes, telt malátajelleggel. A keserűség származhat pörkölt malátákból vagy komló hozzáadásából. Eredetileg az Orosz cári családnak szánták.

A Stout a porter szárazabb, sötétebb, testesebb erősebb leszármazottja. Színben nagyon hasonlóak, a stoutokban azonban sokkal több a karamellizált pörkölt maláta és a kávés ízvilág, valamint édeskésebbek is. A stout szó első ismert használata egy 1677-ben keltezett, az Egerton Manuscripts-ban talált dokumentumban, amely a sör erősségére utal. 1721-ben használták először a porter nevet egy pörkölt malátával készült sötétbarna sör leírására. A porterek hatalmas népszerűsége miatt a sörfőzők többféle erősségben készítették őket. Az erősebb, jellemzően 7 vagy 8 %-os alkoholtartalmú söröket "stout porter"-nek nevezték, így a stout és a porter története és fejlődése összefonódott.
