This Hazy IPA provides a lush, tropical sensory escape powered by a trio of expressive hops. Citra and Simcoe lead the profile with vibrant waves of grapefruit, mango, and passionfruit, while Sabro introduces a unique, creamy hint of coconut. The grist of Extra Pale malt, flaked oats, and wheat malt creates a pillowy, soft structure that supports the intense hop oils without adding distracting sweetness. Fermented with London Ale III, the beer offers supportive stone-fruit esters that blend seamlessly into the juicy hop character. It finishes with a restrained, smooth bitterness, resulting in an approachable and highly aromatic experience.
Appearance. Straw to gold (4-6 SRM) with a deep, opaque haze that gives off a luminous shine. Topped with a persistent, rocky, meringue-like white head that leaves dense lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring notes of ripe pineapple, citrus zest, and tropical stone fruit. Background notes of coconut and a clean, lightly bready malt character are present. Fermentation esters are moderate and fruity, complementing the New World hop profile.
Taste. High fruity hop flavors echoing the aroma, with dominant tangerine, peach, and subtle tropical creaminess. Malt flavor is low and cracker-like. Perceived bitterness is low-medium, well-masked by the soft body. The finish is off-dry and smooth with a lingering, juicy fruit aftertaste that lacks any hop harshness or astringency.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture from the flaked grains. Moderate carbonation. Alcohol warmth is light and well-integrated. No harshness or raw starch texture.
