Chateau Migraine is a potent Wild Specialty Beer showcasing a deep, vinous complexity. This collaboration between Hop Hooligans and Pühaste layers red grape juice and black currant puree with the tart vibrancy of aronia and red currant juice. The result is a saturated, forest-berry profile accented by an ethereal, floral lavender lift. At 9% ABV, it provides a firm presence, balanced by the funky, lactic edge of wild fermentation. Wheat malt provides a soft backdrop, while maltodextrin adds a touch of perceived fullness to the otherwise dry, acidic structure. It is a bold, evocative marriage of dark fruit and botanical grace.

Appearance. Deep ruby to dark purple-red hue; opaque clarity due to heavy fruit puree and wheat malt. The head is thin, pink-tinted, and shows low to moderate retention, typical of high-acid wild ales.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by dark berries and vinous red grape. Sharp lactic tartness blends with earthy, funky wild yeast notes. Distinct floral lavender provides a perfume-like top note over a subtle bready malt undercurrent; hops are not perceived.

Taste. Bold, sour initial impression. Tart red currant and aronia juice provide an immediate acidic bite, followed by the richer, jammy flavors of black currant and red grape. Lavender is well-integrated in the mid-palate. Negligible hop bitterness; acidity drives the balance. Finishes dry with a lingering tannic fruit skin grip and a hint of body-enhancing maltodextrin.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body, which is substantial for the style due to the high ABV and maltodextrin. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated. Features a slight tannic astringency from the fruit skins.
