A powerful Baltic Porter that pushes the boundaries of the style with a robust 11% ABV and a sophisticated peppercorn infusion. The backbone features rich Munich and Golden Promise malts, providing a deep, bready foundation layered with dark chocolate and roasted coffee notes from Chocolate malt and Carafa Type II. African Timiz and Java Long peppers introduce an exotic, woody spice that complements the dark fruit esters of plum and raisin. Simcoe hops provide a subtle resinous counterpoint, while the clean lager fermentation ensures a smooth, warming finish that balances the intense spice and complex malt sweetness.
Appearance. Pours a deep, opaque mahogany to dark brown with ruby highlights. It is topped by a thick, creamy, tan-colored head with excellent persistence and fine lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Rich maltiness leads with notes of dark chocolate, toasted nuts, and molasses. A complex spice profile from the various peppercorns adds layers of wood, smoke, and earthiness. Moderate esters of dried plums and black cherries are present, alongside a clean, vinous alcohol warmth.
Taste. Initial rich malt sweetness featuring caramel and toffee, quickly giving way to deep roasted flavors of dark chocolate and espresso without burnt harshness. The peppercorns provide a distinctive, multi-dimensional spiciness—ranging from floral to pungent—that lingers into the finish. Medium-low bitterness from Simcoe hops and roasted malts balances the body. The finish is smooth and slightly dry with a lingering note of licorice and peppery heat.
Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and viscous with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate to medium-high, providing a mouth-filling sensation that prevents the beer from feeling heavy. Significant alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated.

A sűrű és erős porter elterjedt a londoni munkásosztályban, és hamarosan jelenséggé vált országszerte, valamint a balti államokba exportálták. A stoutok kistestvérének is hívják, színe a sötét borostyántól egészen az éjfeketéig terjed, azonban a porterekben kevesebb a karamellizált, pörkölt maláta a stouthoz képest. Az egyik legizgalmasabb Ale típusú sör, mivel a kávés, étcsokis ízjegyektől kezdve akár aszaltgyümölcsre emlékeztető is lehet.
