This Hazy IPA radiates a vibrant tropical intensity, driven by a heavy-handed dry hopping of Idaho7, Strata, Mosaic, and Azacca. Built upon a soft foundation of Extra Pale malt, Flaked oats, and Malted wheat, the beer presents a lush, pillowy texture that supports layers of overripe mango, bright passion fruit, and a distinct strawberry-citrus sweetness. London Ale III yeast enhances the fruit-forward profile with subtle stone fruit esters. The experience is undeniably juicy, balancing its soft mouthfeel with a restrained bitterness, culminating in a clean yet lingering tropical finish that highlights the complex, resinous interplay of New World hops.
Appearance. SRM 4. Pale straw to light gold with a dense, opaque haze providing a luminous shine. Pours with a thick, rocky, white meringue-like head that exhibits excellent retention and leaves delicate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop bouquet featuring pineapple, mango, and zesty citrus, intertwined with dank passion fruit and subtle berry notes. A faint piney undertone and stone fruit depth are present. Malt character is low, offering a clean, bready, and lightly grainy backdrop with no caramel or toast.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor of mango, blueberry, and melon. Mid-palate reveals a soft, bready malt sweetness from the wheat. Hop bitterness is moderate but perceived as low, masked by the full body and off-dry finish. Fermentation esters are supportive, leaning into apricot and peach without any harsh or sharp hop burn in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a remarkably soft, velvet-like texture. Carbonation is moderate. Alcohol warmth is light and well-integrated. The beer is exceptionally smooth, lacking any astringency or raw starchiness.
