Hop Federation Deep Space IPL
Deep Space IPL is a modern interpretation of the German Pils style, utilizing lager malts and yeast as a clean canvas for the experimental NZH104 hop. The appearance is brilliant gold with a persistent, creamy white head. This lager delivers a bold sensory experience where traditional toasted cracker and doughy malt notes collide with contemporary hits of stone fruit, resinous pine, and tropical fruit. The palate is defined by a firm bitterness and a lean body, allowing the complex fruit character to lead into an exceptionally dry and crisp finish. It represents a vibrant fusion of old-world fermentation and new-world hop exploration.
Appearance. Straw to deep yellow (2–4 SRM); brilliant clarity with a creamy, long-lasting, dense white head and fine lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring distinct stone fruit, tropical mango, and fresh pine needles. Supported by a low to medium grainy-sweet and toasted cracker malt character. Fermentation profile is very clean with no sulfur or diacetyl.
Taste. Initial light grainy-sweetness and honeyed cracker malt are quickly overtaken by a powerful hop punch of peach, apricot, and pineapple. Medium-high to high bitterness provides a sharp, crisp balance. The finish is very dry and refreshing with a lingering resinous pine and citrus zest aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, refreshing texture. High carbonation levels provide a lively prickle on the tongue. Very light alcohol warmth is well-integrated, finishing clean without astringency.
