Homero Hefeweizen is a refreshing Weissbier that showcases a classic German wheat character with a sparkling, effervescent personality. The pour is defined by a dense, mousse-like white head with excellent retention. Aromatically, it balances soft, grainy wheat and bready malt notes with a moderate perfume of spicy clove and a complex herbal bouquet. On the palate, the low sweetness emphasizes the grainy wheat flavors and a distinct, refreshing acidity. Appearance. Pale straw to gold in color (3-5 SRM). Distinctly hazy with a healthy yeast shine. Features a very thick, white, moussy head with long-lasting retention and fine lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with a perfume of spicy clove phenols and a complex herbal character. Low to moderate bready and doughy wheat aromatics provide a solid malt backbone. Low fruity esters are present, though the spicy phenolic profile is more prominent.
Taste. Initial bready and grainy wheat flavors lead into a well-rounded palate. Low bitterness (approx. 12 IBU) allows the yeast character to shine, featuring moderate clove and a subtle herbal hop note. Very low sweetness with a slight, refreshing acidity that enhances the crispness. The finish is relatively dry and very clean.
