La Contea is a delicate and aromatic Witbier that perfectly captures the essence of spring. A soft, bready foundation of unmalted wheat provides a creamy base for the distinctive addition of elderflower and coriander. These ingredients create a vibrant bouquet of floral elegance and zesty, lemony spice that brightens the pale, milky-hazy pour. The palate is refreshingly crisp, balancing subtle grainy sweetness against a dry, effervescent finish. Appearance. Very pale straw with a distinct milky, whitish-yellow glow (3 SRM). Highly cloudy with significant starch haze. Topped by a dense, white, moussy head with excellent retention and fine lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity featuring prominent floral elderflower and perfumy, lemony coriander. A soft, bready maltiness with light grainy wheat notes and a hint of vanilla provides a solid aromatic base. Low spicy yeast esters are present, while hop aroma is absent.

Taste. Refreshing and crisp with an initial bready, grainy wheat flavor. The mid-palate is dominated by zesty citrus and the herbal-floral complexity of elderflower and coriander. Hop bitterness is low (approx. 15 IBU), acting only to balance the malt without adding flavor. The finish is dry, clean, and floral with no harsh aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, light creaminess. High carbonation provides a lively, effervescent character. No alcohol warmth is perceived; the mouthfeel is refreshing and free of astringency.
