This Imperial Stout presents a profound sensory experience, deeply influenced by its maturation in double-charred Four Roses bourbon barrels. The profile is defined by an intense aromatic marriage of bittersweet chocolate and espresso, layered with heavy vanilla and the spicy, refined character of long-aged grain whiskey. On the palate, the double-charred oak imparts a subtle smoky depth and structured tannins, which balance the rich, dark fruit esters of prune and black currant. Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+). Pours with a thick, creamy, deep tan head with moderate retention and significant lacing. High viscosity is visible through slow-drifting legs on the glass.
