Everett is a masterclass in the American Porter style, offering a decadent sensory journey defined by its complex malt architecture. This unfiltered porter utilizes a blend of English and German roasted malts to produce profound layers of dark chocolate and freshly roasted coffee. Supported by American malted barley and the brewery’s signature soft well water, the palate is exceptionally smooth. American hops provide a firm but integrated bitterness and subtle earthy undertones that balance the inherent malty sweetness. The result is a robust, deep brown ale that honors its namesake with a harmonious interplay of dark grain intensity and a clean, lingering finish.

Appearance. Very dark brown, appearing nearly opaque in the glass, with deep ruby highlights at the edges. It is topped by a dense, persistent tan-colored head that leaves significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity of roasted grain, featuring prominent dark chocolate and espresso notes. A secondary layer of caramel and toffee sweetness provides a malty richness, complemented by a low, earthy American hop character and very subtle fruity esters.

Taste. The palate lead with a moderately strong roasted flavor of bakers’ chocolate and charred coffee beans. It is balanced by a medium-high bitterness and a supportive malty sweetness.
