Hello, LA is a quintessential American IPA that captures the vibrant essence of California's hop-forward tradition. Pouring a brilliant golden hue, it immediately greets the senses with high-intensity aromas of juicy tropical fruit and fresh tangerine, driven by the classic combination of Mosaic and Citra hops. A subtle layer of resinous dankness adds complexity to the bouquet. On the palate, the bright citrus and mango notes are supported by a clean, light grainy malt backbone. The experience concludes with a firm, lingering bitterness and a crisp, dry finish, embodying the refreshing yet assertive character expected of a modern West Coast IPA.
Appearance. Medium gold color (approx. 6 SRM). Brilliant clarity. Large, fluffy white foam head with excellent persistence and intricate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tangerine, mango, and papaya from the Citra and Mosaic. Subtle background of resinous pine and cannabis-like dankness. Low, clean, crackery malt. Clean fermentation profile with no significant esters.
Taste. Prominent hop flavors of citrus zest and tropical fruit. Strong, clean hop bitterness consistent with the 40-70 IBU range. Neutral, low-intensity grainy malt. Very dry finish with a crisp, lingering hop-bitter aftertaste. Clean fermentation character with no phenolics.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light to medium body. Medium-high carbonation. Smooth texture with a light, clean alcohol warmth consistent with 6.8% ABV. No hop-derived astringency.
