This Bolder Bock delivers a sophisticated take on the traditional Doppelbock, emphasizing a deep, malt-forward character with a distinctive twist. Rich layers of Munich malt and Vienna malt provide a sturdy foundation of toasted bread and dark caramel, while a controlled infusion of smoke adds an alluring depth without overstaying its welcome. Expect a velvety profile marked by notes of dark fruit leather and subtle Maillard richness. The 7.5% alcohol provides a gentle, well-integrated warmth that complements the full-bodied texture. Bolder Bock is een seizoensbier van brouwerij Het Brouwdok in Harlingen, gebrouwen als dubbelbock met een robuust karakter. De moutbasis is rijk en diep, met aroma’s en smaken van karamel, toffee en gedroogd fruit zoals rozijnen. Wat deze bock extra bijzonder maakt, is de rokerige toets — afkomstig van boven berkenhout gedroogde mouten — die het bier een unieke rokerigheid en complexiteit geeft.
Het resultaat is een kastanjebruin kleurig bier met een romige schuimkraag, dat ondanks het stevige karakter (7,5% ABV) goed drinkbaar blijft. De aanbevolen serveertemperatuur ligt rond de 8 °C.
