Filtering Reality is an expressive Double IPA that showcases a saturated hop profile driven by Simcoe, Mosaic, Citra, and Galaxy. The sensory experience is led by a pungent bouquet of overripe passionfruit, peach, and bright citrus zest, underpinned by Simcoe’s signature resinous pine. On the palate, the bold tropical fruit notes from Galaxy and the berry-like complexity of Mosaic integrate with a soft, supportive malt base. This beer balances a firm but polished bitterness with a velvety texture typical of modern hazy interpretations, concluding with a clean, lingering hop finish and a subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth that highlights its strength without being solventy.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange (7-9 SRM). Opaque, uniform haze with a thick, persistent white head that leaves dense lacing as it recedes.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by tropical fruit, stone fruit, and citrus from Citra and Galaxy. Secondary notes of pine and resin from Simcoe. Malt is very low, providing a neutral, grainy background. Clean fermentation with a light, smooth alcohol note.

Taste. Strong hop flavors of orange peel, blueberry, and tropical nectar. A moderately high bitterness provides structure without being harsh. Low malt character provides a soft, unobtrusive balance. Dry to medium-dry finish with a lingering hoppy and resinous aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a noticeably smooth, creamy texture. Moderate carbonation. Restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated. No harsh hop-derived astringency.
