The aromatic profile is dominated by a bright citrus medley—reminiscent of fresh lime zest and lemon curd—intertwined with subtle, crushed herbal notes. On the palate, the beer presents a brilliant clarity and a crisp, dry finish that emphasizes a firm bitterness. A clean, supporting malt backbone allows the Southern Hemisphere hop character to remain the singular focus, resulting in a refreshingly snappy, citrus-forward profile with a smooth, well-integrated alcohol presence at seven percent ABV.
Appearance. Brilliant clarity with a pale gold to medium yellow hue (approx 6 SRM). Supports a persistent, fine-beaded white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring a distinctive citrus medley of lime zest and lemon, followed by gentle herbal and floral undertones. Low, clean, grainy-sweet maltiness provides a neutral base. Fermentation profile is very clean with no significant esters.
Taste. Initial impression is sharply hoppy and refreshing. The palate is dominated by Motueka-driven flavors of lime, tropical citrus, and a light herbal spice. Moderate-high bitterness is firm but clean, balancing a low, crackery malt presence. The finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering citrus and resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Medium-high carbonation provides a lively mouthfeel. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present. No astringency.
