Harrogate Brewing Co

This Hazy IPA presents a vibrant sensory tapestry of Southern Hemisphere character, driven by a double dry hop of Nelson Sauvin, Motueka, and Wakatu. The aroma is an intense fusion of crushed white grapes, zesty lime, and the distinct tropical sweetness of fresh kiwi. On the palate, the lime-forward Motueka and floral Wakatu notes are smoothed by a subtle layer of vanilla, creating a lush, rounded profile. Despite its bold fruit additions, it maintains the soft, pillowy essence of the style, finishing with a delicate, creamy sweetness and a clean, low-bitterness fruit punch character.

Appearance. SRM 4-6. Pale straw to light orange with a heavy, opaque haze. Features a dense, meringue-like white head with high retention and significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity of tropical fruit and citrus. Prominent notes of gooseberry and white grape from Nelson Sauvin, combined with a sharp lime zest and fresh kiwi. A subtle, sweet vanilla bean fragrance underlies the fruit, supported by a low, bready malt character. No alcohol or diacetyl present.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit punch and lime citrus. The kiwi addition provides a juicy, slightly tart mid-palate, while the vanilla provides a rounding sweetness that masks the low-to-medium bitterness. Moderate malt flavor of light bread and oats. The finish is smooth and off-dry, lingering with notes of lime and cream.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation provides a gentle lift without being prickly. Absence of astringency or hop burn. Low alcohol warmth, appearing very well-integrated at this ABV.
