Saturation is a vibrant American Pale Ale crafted as a sessionable Micro IPA. Despite its low alcohol content, it delivers an intense sensory experience driven by a potent dry-hop addition of Amarillo, BRU-1, Rakau, and Sabro. The nose is a bright explosion of freshly peeled tangerines and ripe mango, leading into a palate saturated with stone fruit and subtle tropical coconut. Amarillo provides a clear citrus foundation, while BRU-1 and Rakau contribute lush pineapple and peach notes. Sabro rounds out the profile with a hint of tropical complexity. It finishes crisp and clean with a restrained bitterness that highlights the modern hop character.
Appearance. Pours a pale straw to light golden color (SRM 4). It features a moderately large, bright white head with good retention and light lacing. Clarity is brilliant with a light effervescence.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical and citrus notes. Prominent scents of tangerine, mango, and stone fruit are at the forefront. Very low, neutral grainy maltiness provides a subtle backbone. Fermentation is clean with minimal esters, allowing the hop-derived fruitiness to be the primary focus.
Taste. The initial impression is hop-forward and refreshing. Flavors of tangerine and mango reflect the aroma, supported by notes of apricot and a faint tropical edge. Malt flavor is low and bready, serving only to support the hop profile. Bitterness is moderate but firm, balancing the light malt character. The finish is dry and clean, with lingering notes of citrus zest and stone fruit.
Mouthfeel. Light body, consistent with its low-gravity micro IPA character. Carbonation is moderate to high, providing a crisp, prickly sensation on the tongue. No alcohol warmth is perceived, and the finish is smooth without astringency.
