Donkey is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases the punchy synergy of Nectaron and Strata hops. This 6.5% ABV brew pours with a luminous, opaque glow, releasing an intense fruity fiesta of aromas. Dominant notes of passionfruit and ripe pineapple lead into a mid-palate rich with juicy stonefruit and a refreshing citrus breeze. The Strata hops contribute a unique, delicate waft of fresh strawberry that lingers through the finish. With its soft, pillowy body and restrained bitterness, the experience is profoundly juicy, offering a smooth, tropical escape that prioritizes depth of hop flavor over a sharp resinous bite.
Appearance. Straw to light amber with a characteristic opaque haze and luminous shine. Topped by a dense, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring tropical passionfruit, pineapple, and stone fruit. Distinctive berry notes of strawberry are present, supported by a neutral, grainy, and lightly bready malt backbone with subtle fruity fermentation esters.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma with layers of pineapple, citrus, and stone fruit. Malt flavor is low and bready, providing a soft foundation. Bitterness is low to medium-high but perceived as soft and restrained, finishing off-dry and smooth with a lingering, juicy fruit aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky mouthfeel. Carbonation is moderate. Features a light, well-integrated alcohol warmth and remains smooth without any hop-derived harshness or astringency.
