Appearance. Honey-gold color (SRM 7–9). Brilliant clarity after the characteristic nitrogenous surge and settle. Features a dense, exceptionally long-lasting, creamy off-white head with heavy lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high aroma intensity. Prominent notes of sharp citrus peel and grapefruit from Cascade and Topaz hops, layered with spicy-floral and peppery notes from Celeia and Challenger. Low bready malt and a very faint, dry roasted grain scent are present. Clean fermentation profile with no significant esters.
Taste. Initial impression of smooth citrus and earthy pine. Hop flavor is moderate, leaning toward orange zest and spice. Bitterness is firm but rounded by the nitrogen, providing a balanced English IPA profile. The malt backbone consists of bready Irish barley with a distinctive, albeit subtle, hint of dry roasted barley in the finish. The aftertaste is clean, dry, and pleasantly bitter.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a remarkably smooth, creamy, and rich texture due to nitrogenation. Carbonation sensation is very low. No significant alcohol warmth or astringency is detected, creating a velvet-like palate.
