Guinness Draft werd in feite pas voor het eerst gebrouwen in 1959 om het 200-jarig jubileum te vieren sinds Arthur Guinness een 9.000-jarig huurcontract tekende voor St. James's Gate Brewery. Goede man Arthur, hij wist duidelijk iets goeds toen hij het zag!
