This nitrogenated Coffee Stout presents an elegant fusion of the classic dry Irish stout profile with rich, roasted espresso. The aroma is immediately defined by freshly ground coffee and dark chocolate, leading into a velvety palate. A creamy, exceptionally persistent tan head characterizes the pour, while the cold brew integration provides a smooth, roasted bitterness that perfectly balances a subtle malt sweetness. The character of toasted barley and cocoa from the base beer complements the specialty coffee additions without overwhelming the sessionable 4% ABV. It finishes clean and dry, showcasing a harmonious blend of specialty ingredients and traditional brewing.

Appearance. Opaque ebony to jet black (SRM 40) with deep ruby highlights when held to light. Features a dense, thick, and creamy nitrogenated tan head with excellent retention and tight lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity of roasted coffee and espresso beans. Underlying notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, and lightly toasted grain are present. Hop aroma is absent, and the fermentation character is very clean with no esters.

Taste. Initial impression is of smooth cold brew coffee and roasted barley. Moderate bitterness from both hops and roasted grains is well-integrated with the espresso character. The malt profile offers hints of unsweetened cocoa and burnt bread crust. The finish is dry and crisp with a lingering roasted coffee aftertaste, devoid of harshness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body but with a significantly enhanced perception of fullness and smoothness due to the nitrogenation. Carbonation is very low. No alcohol warmth is present, and the texture is notably creamy and silk-like on the tongue.
