Ground Up Brewing Truly Lifted
Truly Lifted is a vibrant American IPA that bridges the gap between resinous tradition and modern fruit-forward intensity. A crisp base of Heidelberg and Caragold malts provides a subtle grainy backbone, while the addition of Oat malt imparts a refined, silky texture. The sensory experience is dominated by a complex hop profile featuring Idaho 7, Simcoe, Centennial, and Columbus, delivering layers of pungent pine, dank resin, and bright citrus. Amarillo cryo adds a concentrated burst of orange oil to the finish. This Mountain IPA balances firm bitterness with a clean, dry profile, offering an elevated expression of American hop craft.
Appearance. Medium gold color with a slight, persistent haze. Features a medium-sized, creamy white head with excellent persistence and intricate lacing.
Aroma. High-intensity hop aroma featuring pungent pine, grapefruit, and dank resin. Notes of passionfruit and tropical stone fruit from the Idaho 7 and Amarillo cryo are prominent. Low grainy-sweet malt character from the Heidelberg base supports the hop presentation with a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Strong hop flavors of resinous pine, floral citrus, and orange peel. The bitterness is firm and clean, balanced by a light toasted malt backbone from the Caragold. It finishes dry with a lingering hoppy aftertaste and minimal yeast esters, allowing the Columbus and Simcoe woodiness to shine through.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture derived from the oat malt. Carbonation is medium-high and lively. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present but remains smooth rather than harsh.
