GROSS Lemon Smash presents as a bold, sensory collision between a robust Double IPA and a zesty lemonade. The profile is dominated by a 20% addition of natural lemon juice, creating an intense citric acidity that melds seamlessly with the tropical and stone fruit aromatics of Citra and Nectaron hops. While the structural foundation maintains the substantial presence of a Double IPA, the experience is defined by an explosive freshness. The interplay between the resinous hop bitterness and the sharp, acidic lemon juice creates a dangerously drinkable, high-impact profile where the 7.5% alcohol provides a smooth, warming background to the vibrant fruit character.

Appearance. Gold to light orange-copper (7–9 SRM). Persistent, medium-sized white head with fine lacing. Noticeable haze is present due to the high percentage of natural fruit juice and intensive dry-hopping.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominant fresh lemon zest and sharp juice aroma. Secondary layers of tropical fruit, pineapple, and stone fruit peach from Nectaron, complemented by the citrus-forward grapefruit notes of Citra. Low, neutral, grainy malt sweetness in the background.

Taste. Initial impression is an assertive, tart lemon punch followed by complex hop flavors of lime, peach, and resin. Moderately high bitterness is present but partially tempered by the acidic zing of the lemon. Clean, neutral malt provides a soft base. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering, zesty hop and citrus aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Moderate to high carbonation provides a crisp, refreshing bite. A smooth, well-integrated alcohol warmth is noticeable but lacks any harshness.
