Pente Douce is a vibrant Hazy IPA defined by its lush, tropical bouquet and pillowy texture. An explosive hop profile featuring Amarillo, Simcoe, Mosaic, and Citra drives the experience, delivering bold, saturated notes of ripe mango, sweet orange, and zesty lemon. These fruit-forward layers are nuanced by delicate floral accents and a hint of evergreen resin. The aromatic intensity is matched by a soft, juicy palate where the bready malt provides a subtle, supportive backbone. It finishes with a gentle, restrained bitterness and a lingering citrus brightness, capturing the hallmark juicy character of the style with remarkable balance and drinkability.
Appearance. Deep straw to pale orange (5 SRM) with a pronounced, opaque haze that provides a soft, luminous glow. It is topped by a thick, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and intricate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-driven aroma featuring heavy mango and stone fruit, alongside bright orange peel and lemon curd. Secondary notes of pine needles and wildflower honey emerge. Malt is secondary, appearing as clean, lightly bready, and neutral.
Taste. The initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit and citrus oils. Flavors of mango and navel orange dominate, supported by a subtle lemony tartness. Malt character is low, resembling fresh flour or light crackers. Bitterness is moderate but stays soft and smooth on the palate, never harsh. The finish is off-dry and clean, with a lingering fruit-skin aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a remarkably smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a creamy mouthfeel without being overly prickly. A very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present.
