Daor Hedde De Guld is a complex Belgian Tripel that balances traditional monastic elegance with a distinctive regional twist. It pours a deep gold with a rocky white head, releasing a bouquet of peppery phenols and citrusy esters typical of Belgian yeast. What sets this brew apart is the subtle integration of Wildhogs Chipotle pepper, which introduces a faint whisper of smoke and earthy spice without overwhelming the soft, honey-like Pilsner malt foundation. The finish is remarkably dry and effervescent, hiding its 8% strength behind a firm bitterness and a lingering, spicy yeast character that honors the guild traditions of Brabant.

Appearance. Deep yellow to pale amber (5–7 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a long-lasting, creamy, rocky white head that leaves significant Belgian lace on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity with a complex bouquet of spicy, peppery phenols and citrusy esters reminiscent of orange peel. A very low, earthy smokiness from the chipotle pepper is detectable but integrated, complementing the soft, grainy-sweet malt and floral hop notes.

Taste. Initial impression of honey-like malt sweetness quickly gives way to spicy yeast character and moderate bitterness. The chipotle pepper provides a nuanced layer of dried fruit and a trace of smoke in the mid-palate. It finishes very dry with a lingering peppery phenol and subtle hop bitterness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high, effervescent carbonation. The alcohol warmth is smooth and deceptive, while the pepper addition contributes a very subtle, pleasant tingle on the palate without being astringent.
