Greene King IPA Smooth is a session-strength interpretation of an English IPA, characterized by its remarkably creamy texture and rounded profile. The aroma leads with moderate notes of floral and spicy-peppery English hops, supported by a delicate bready and biscuity malt backbone. On the palate, the nitrogenated "smooth" delivery softens the traditional hop bitterness, allowing subtle toffee and toasted malt flavors to emerge. The hop character remains earthy and herbal, finishing clean with a gentle, lingering dryness. Despite its low ABV, it maintains a structured sensory presence, balancing the heritage of Challenger and First Gold hops against a soft, supportive malt sweetness.

Appearance. Deep golden to amber in color (8-10 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a thick, dense, and exceptionally persistent creamy off-white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Moderate intensity with a distinct floral and earthy hop character. Underpinning the hops is a medium-low bready and lightly biscuity malt aroma. Very low fruity esters are present, with a clean fermentation profile and no detectable alcohol.
