Great Notion Brewing

This Hazy IPA celebrates the brewery's shift beer culture with a vibrant, juice-forward profile dominated by a singular focus on Strata hops. Poured into the glass, it presents an opaque, glowing appearance that prefaces an intense aromatic bouquet. The Strata influence is unmistakable, delivering pungent notes of ripe strawberry and tropical passionfruit, underscored by a signature dank, cannabis-like earthiness. On the palate, a soft, pillowy texture carries these complex fruit flavors through a medium-full body, balanced by a restrained bitterness. The finish is remarkably smooth and off-dry, leaving a lingering impression of bright berry and citrus zest.

Appearance. Straw to light amber (approx. 5 SRM) with an opaque, hazy glow. Features a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and beautiful lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring distinct notes of strawberry, passionfruit, and a dank, cannabis-like herbal character from the Strata hops. Background malt is clean and lightly bready; fermentation is neutral with supportive fruit esters.

Taste. High hop flavor mirroring the aroma with layers of tropical passionfruit and sweet berry. Low to moderate perceived bitterness that is well-masked by the soft grist. Malt is grainy and bready in the background. The finish is smooth and off-dry with no hop harshness or astringency.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, rounded, and pillowy mouthfeel. Carbonation is moderate. A light, pleasant alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated at 7.4% ABV.
