Mandala is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases an intricate hop profile of Strata, Nelson Sauvin, and Galaxy. The sensory experience begins with an intense tropical rush, where Nelson Sauvin contributes sophisticated notes of white wine grape and gooseberry, while Galaxy adds layers of passionfruit and ripe peach. Strata rounds out the bouquet with its signature dank, resinous undertone and subtle strawberry highlights. Against a soft, bready malt backdrop, the palate is exceptionally juicy and smooth. A restrained bitterness allows the complex fruit character to lead, culminating in a lush, tropical finish that perfectly balances hop intensity with a refined, earthy depth.
Appearance. Pale gold to light orange (5-6 SRM) with a uniform, opaque haze that creates a luminous glow. It is topped by a dense, rocky white head with excellent retention and thick, meringue-like lacing.
Aroma. High intensity of tropical fruit, dominated by passionfruit and guava, complemented by a sophisticated gooseberry and white wine character. A distinct dank, resinous cannabis note and hints of strawberry are present, supported by a low, sweet, bready malt background and clean, fruity esters.
Taste. High-intensity flavors of mango, passionfruit, and crushed grapes lead the palate. The malt provides a soft, lightly bready foundation that balances the complex hop oils. Perceived bitterness is moderate and well-integrated, never sharp or harsh. The mid-palate reveals a slight resinous dankness and peach sweetness, leading to a smooth, off-dry finish with a lingering tropical aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy, and smooth texture. Carbonation is moderate. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present without any harshness or astringency.
