This contemporary take on an Ordinary Bitter bridges the gap between classic British sessionability and modern hop innovation. A base of bready and biscuity malts provides a sturdy foundation for the vibrant aromatic contributions of Nectaron, Enigma, and Nelson Sauvin hops. These varieties infuse the profile with distinctive notes of ripe peach, red berry, and crushed gooseberry, elevating the traditional fruity esters. Despite its slightly elevated alcohol content for the style, it remains highly drinkable with a decidedly bitter balance and a crisp, dry finish. The result is a nuanced, copper-hued ale where white wine and tropical fruit cues meet toasted grain complexity.
Appearance. Light copper in color with brilliant clarity. It carries a low, creamy off-white head with modest retention, characteristic of the style's low carbonation.
Aroma. Moderate malt intensity featuring aromas of toasted bread and biscuit with a light caramel edge. High hop aroma for the style, dominated by tropical peach from Nectaron, vinous white grape from Nelson Sauvin, and subtle raspberry notes from Enigma, complemented by moderate fruity esters.
