Gravity Well Brewing Co

This modern take on an Ordinary Bitter bridges the gap between traditional British sessionability and contemporary hop intensity. A base of bready, biscuity malts supports a vibrant, juicy profile driven by a heavy dry-hop of HBC586, which imparts distinct mango and lychee notes. Support from Citra and Mosaic adds layers of bright grapefruit, lime, and subtle berry. Despite its hazy appearance and elevated alcohol content for the style, it maintains a crisp, decidedly bitter finish and high drinkability, staying true to the spirit of the style while embracing a tropical, American-influenced hop character.

Appearance. Pale amber with a distinct haze; moderate off-white head with fair retention and light lacing.

Aroma. Moderate intensity; bready and biscuity malt aroma with a light caramel edge. High fruitiness dominated by tropical mango and citrus from the dry-hop, with secondary earthy and floral notes.

Taste. Moderate bitterness; initial bready malt flavor transitions to a vibrant display of citrus and tropical fruit. Finishes dry with a lingering resiny hop character and mild fruity esters.
