Gravity Well Brewing Co

Automatic Lock-In is a quintessential Hazy IPA that captures the essence of a modern juice bomb. A deliberate focus on Mosaic hops provides a multi-layered sensory experience of ripe blueberries, papaya, and tangerine. This is expertly supported by Bru-1, which injects a sharp, vibrant burst of fresh pineapple and stone fruit. At 6.8% ABV, the beer presents a thick, velvety texture that enhances the saturated hop flavors without any harshness. The result is an intensely fruity and smooth expression of New England brewing, where the low perceived bitterness allows the tropical hop oils to linger on the palate with a clean, pillowy finish.

Appearance. Straw to pale gold (4 SRM) with an opaque, hazy appearance that emits a characteristic shine. It is topped by a dense, white, meringue-like head that exhibits excellent retention and leaves thick lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma dominated by notes of ripe pineapple and fresh mango from Bru-1, paired with the signature blueberry and citrus zest of Mosaic. Background malt is subtle and neutral, providing a soft bready, grainy foundation. Fermentation esters are complementary, enhancing the overall tropical fruit profile without any clashing buttery or acidic notes.

Taste. An explosion of juicy fruit flavors led by vibrant pineapple and sweet citrus. Mosaic adds depth with layers of berry and tropical melon, while the malt provides a supportive, lightly bready sweetness. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as low due to the soft water profile and full body. The finish is smooth and off-dry, lingering with a saturated hop character and no vegetal or harsh aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a remarkably smooth and velvety mouthfeel. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a pillowy texture. There is a light, well-integrated alcohol warmth appropriate for the 6.8% ABV, with no astringency or raw starchiness.
