Granizo Bohemian Lager offers a sophisticated interpretation of the German Pils style, striking a balance between vibrant hop expression and refreshing drinkability. Poured into the glass, it displays a brilliant golden hue topped with a persistent white foam. The bouquet is led by moderate floral and spicy hop aromas, layered over a subtle, grainy-sweet malt foundation with hints of toasted cracker. The palate follows suit, where an initial clean malt sweetness is rapidly balanced by a firm, harmonic bitterness. With its light body and crisp, dry finish, this lager emphasizes a clean fermentation profile and high refreshment value, remaining elegant and impeccably balanced throughout.
Appearance. Brilliant, deep gold color (SRM 3-4). Features a creamy, long-lasting white head with excellent retention and delicate lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to moderately-high intensity of floral and spicy hops. Low grainy, sweet, and doughy malt character with a light toasted cracker note. Clean fermentation profile with no esters.
Taste. Initial light grainy-sweet malt flavor is quickly overcome by a medium-high hop bitterness (35 IBU). Hop flavors are spicy and floral, following the aroma. Finishes very dry and crisp with a clean, lingering bitterness and a touch of malt in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, refreshing character. Moderate to high carbonation. No perceived alcohol warmth; smooth and free of harshness or astringency.
