A vibrant collaboration between Granda and Jopen, this Wild Specialty Beer artfully merges the brightness of a Sour IPA with a refined wild fermentation. It presents a brilliant golden hue, leading into a sensory profile defined by high-intensity citrus zest and intriguing balsamic, herbal aromatics. The palate is driven by a lively, refreshing acidity that melds seamlessly with a gentle hop bitterness, providing a smooth yet crisp structure. This limited edition emphasizes freshness, balancing its tart core with botanical depth and a clean, dry finish that highlights the interplay between modern hopping techniques and traditional wild influences.
Appearance. Brilliant, golden color with excellent clarity. Forms a moderate white head with fair retention and light, patchy lacing.
Aroma. High aromatic intensity featuring a blend of bright citrus fruit, fresh herbal notes, and a distinct balsamic edge. Clean lactic acidity is present, complemented by subtle tropical esters from the wild fermentation and a very low, neutral malt base.
Taste. Initial impression is characterized by a lively, sharp acidity followed by flavors of grapefruit and lemon zest. Balsamic and herbal hop qualities emerge in the mid-palate. The hop bitterness is gentle and restrained, providing balance to the tartness. The finish is remarkably dry, clean, and refreshing with a lingering citrus character.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is moderate to high, contributing to a prickly, fresh sensation on the tongue. Minimal alcohol warmth and no detectable astringency.
