Gorilla Cervecería Berlin

A Glorious Mess is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases an intensive dry-hopping regimen featuring Ekuanot, Mosaic Lupomax, Citra, and Talus. This 7% ABV ale offers a sensory explosion of ripe pineapple and fuzzy peach, driven by a specialized yeast strain that works in tandem with the hops to produce deep tropical esters. The aroma is saturated with bright citrus and stone fruit, while the palate experience is defined by a soft, pillowy texture. These specific hop varieties deliver layers of tangerine and tropical fruit that linger through a smooth, low-bitterness finish, epitomizing the juicy character of the style.

Appearance. Color is a deep straw to light orange (4-6 SRM); opaque and hazy with a luminous shine. Supports a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical fruit (pineapple, mango) and stone fruit (peach). Significant citrus notes of tangerine and lime from the Citra and Ekuanot. Malt is supportive and lightly bready; fermentation esters are fruity and well-integrated with the hop profile.

Taste. High to very high fruity hop flavors including pineapple, peach, and grapefruit. Malt flavor is low, presenting as clean, grainy sweetness. Perceived bitterness is low to moderate, masked by the soft body. The finish is off-dry and smooth with a lingering, juicy fruit aftertaste that lacks any harshness or grassy character.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, velvety mouthfeel. Carbonation is moderate. Displays a light, pleasant alcohol warmth at 7% ABV. Entirely smooth with no astringency or raw grain texture.

In this happy hoppy mess, we mixed Ekuanot, Mosaic Lupomax, Citra and Talus hops in big quantities. Hoppy indeed.
