This Double IPA erupts with a saturated hop profile driven by a sophisticated blend of Galaxy, Eclipse, Mosaic Cryo, and Chinook. The nose is an intense medley of passionfruit and mandarin citrus, underpinned by resinous pine and subtle blueberry notes. On the palate, the concentrated hop oils from the Mosaic Cryo provide a lush tropical depth that balances a firm, clean bitterness. Despite its 8.5% ABV, the beer remains remarkably drinkable with a dry, lean malt backbone that allows the multifaceted hop character to shine. Appearance. Deep gold to light copper (8-10 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Topped by a dense, persistent, off-white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring tropical passionfruit from Galaxy and bright mandarin from Eclipse. Nuanced layers of piney Chinook and berry-like Mosaic Cryo follow, supported by a very low, neutral, grainy malt presence and clean fermentation.
Taste. The initial impression is a wave of tropical and citrus hop flavors followed by sharp, resinous pine. Bitterness is high but refined, avoiding harshness. The malt is soft and unobtrusive, providing just enough structure before a very dry, lingering hoppy finish.
