This Munich Helles exemplifies a refined balance of traditional ingredients and precise technique. The use of single varietal German pale barley provides a rich, grainy-sweet foundation, delivering a soft and rounded malt expression. Complemented by a delicate blend of low-alpha Hallertau hops, the aroma and flavor offer subtle herbal and floral notes that never overshadow the malt core. Extensive cold-conditioning ensures a remarkably clean, mature profile with a smooth, lingering finish. Appearance. Pale gold (approx. 4 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a persistent, creamy white head that leaves delicate lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Moderate grainy-sweet malt intensity reminiscent of fresh bread dough. Low herbal and floral hop aroma from the Hallertau varieties. Clean fermentation profile with no diacetyl or fruity esters.

Taste. Initial impression is moderately malty and soft. Grainy-sweet malt flavors dominate the palate with a rounded impression, supported by a low bitterness that prevents it from being cloying. Subtle herbal hop flavors emerge mid-palate. The finish is soft and dry, with a clean aftertaste of fresh grain and a hint of spice.

Lisa and Kevin will continue to make Heater Allen beers and are in the process of adding a new cellar to increase production.
