This refreshing White Ale presents a unique gluten-free profile driven by a base of quinoa and amaranth. The amaranth contributes a distinct earthy nuttiness and a grainy structural integrity to the palate, while the quinoa provides a rustic bready character. Aromatically, the beer leads with the classic spice of coriander and the bright, citrusy perfume of curaçao orange peel. Despite its alternative grain bill, it remains remarkably soft and approachable. The finish is crisp and dry, highlighting a delicate balance between the herbal spice and the toasted grain character, making for a highly drinkable and thirst-quenching sensory experience.
Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (3-4 SRM). Notable haze with a dense, white, creamy head that shows moderate retention.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring pronounced herbal coriander and zesty curaçao orange peel. A distinctive grainy, slightly nutty aroma from the quinoa and amaranth is present, with very low floral hop character and clean fermentation.
Taste. Initial citrus and floral coriander flavors lead into a unique mid-palate of toasted grain and bread crust from the amaranth. Low hop bitterness provides just enough balance against the light malt sweetness. The finish is dry, clean, and refreshing with a lingering hint of spice.
