Aroma. Moderate intensity with a primary character of fresh grain, crackers, and sweet bread. Low floral or herbal hop notes are present, complemented by very subtle fruity esters of pear. A faint, clean nuttiness reflects the alternative grain profile.
Taste. Initial impression is a soft, grainy malt sweetness. Flavors of bready barley malts dominate the mid-palate, supported by a mild floral hop flavor. The hop bitterness is low to moderate, providing just enough balance to keep the beer from being cloying. The finish is short, clean, and refreshing with an off-dry aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a slightly crisp texture. Carbonation is moderate to high due to bottle conditioning, providing a pleasant tingle on the tongue. Alcohol warmth is negligible, and there is no detectable astringency.
