Garage Project’s Vit. C is a vibrant American IPA that serves as a masterclass in the classic "C-hop" profile. This 5.8% ABV ale bursts with a high-dose intensity of Chinook, Centennial, Columbus, Cascade, and Citra, further amplified by Columbus and Citra Cryo. The sensory experience is dominated by massive grapefruit citrus and warm pine resin, underscored by a distinctive sativa-like dankness. A clean, supporting malt backbone allows the juicy, mouth-watering bitterness to take center stage, finishing crisp and dry. It is a bright, resinous, and deeply aromatic tribute to the essential hop varieties that defined the modern craft era.
Appearance. Pours a brilliant medium gold to light reddish-amber with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves attractive lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring dominant notes of ruby red grapefruit, dank herbal sativa, and pungent pine resin. Supporting characters of orange peel and floral blossoms are present, backed by a low, clean, grainy malt sweetness and a neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of citrus hop flavor including grapefruit and lime, followed by a mid-palate of resinous pine and spicy herbs. Malt flavor is low and grainy-sweet with a touch of light toast. Bitterness is firm and mouth-watering, leading to a medium-dry finish and a lingering hoppy, resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from the high hop oil content. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a crisp bite without any harsh astringency. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated.
