Garage Project Sungold is a luminous take on the classic Witbier, radiating with the stone fruit vibrancy of sun-ripened apricots. Brewed with a foundation of plump white wheat, the pour displays a characteristic hazy luminescence. The sensory profile is defined by a delicate interplay between the juicy, sweet aromatics of apricot and the traditional spicy nuances of a Belgian yeast strain. Lemony coriander and zesty citrus notes provide a crisp counterpoint to the bready, honeyed malt base. Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (2–4 SRM). Characteristically hazy and cloudy from starch and yeast. Features a dense, white, moussy head with excellent retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Dominated by juicy, sun-ripened apricot fruitiness, complemented by zesty, citrusy orange and perfumy-lemony coriander. The malt profile offers light bready and grainy wheat notes with a hint of vanilla. Belgian yeast adds subtle spicy, peppery phenols.
Taste. Initial impression is bright and fruity with sweet apricot flavors. The mid-palate reveals a pleasant bready, grainy malt core. Herbal and spicy notes from coriander and yeast esters are subtle and well-integrated. Hop bitterness is low, serving only to balance the fruit. Finishes refreshingly crisp and very dry with a lingering stone fruit aftertaste and no harshness.
