This International Pale Lager is an avant-garde interpretation of a session-strength rice lager, brewed with ramen noodles and rice to ensure a lean, ultra-crisp profile. The addition of shiromiso and kombu seaweed imparts a unique, delicate umami sweetness that rounds out the otherwise dry, crackery malt body. Clean fermentation and a light touch of floral hops provide a refreshing, thirst-quenching character typical of the style, while a subtle hint of MSG enhances the savory depth. At a sessionable ABV, it remains remarkably bright and clean, balancing its experimental savory elements with a traditional, snappy finish.

Appearance. Pale straw (SRM 2). Brilliant clarity with a white, frothy head that shows moderate retention and fine lacing.

Aroma. Low intensity. Clean, grainy-malty aroma with a light rice-like sweetness. Subtle hints of sea spray and savory miso are present but do not overshadow the neutral fermentation profile and very low floral hop notes.

Taste. Initial impression is crisp and refreshing. Low levels of crackery, grainy malt flavor are balanced by a delicate hop bitterness. The ramen noodles and rice provide a light, clean backbone, while the kombu and shiromiso contribute a subtle, savory umami depth. The finish is dry, clean, and highly attenuated with a neutral aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Light body with a crisp, moderately high carbonation that provides a pleasant carbonic bite. Very smooth with no alcohol warmth or astringency.
